Documents to be submitted:-

• Duly filled application

• Road Map to the place of the industry

• Business Registration Certificate

• Survey plan of the land

• Plan of measures regarding waste refinery and prevention of air and sound pollution

• A copy of the business permit or approved building plan obtained from the local government institution

• Possession of the land in wich the industry isfunctioning (Copy of the deed, copy of the permit or letter of the consent from the original owner)

• When it is required to submit a special permit or information photocopies of such permits should be handed over.

   

Process in obtaining the permit

• Obtaining the application from from Pradeshiya Sabha free of charge

• Submitting the duly filled application along with required supportive documents

• Field visit with the praticipation of at least two members of the environment committee

• Submitting the application to the Technical Progress Review Committee

• Issue of the permit after submittingthe application to the Chairman of Pradeshiya Sabha

Renew of the Environment Protection Permit

Three months prior to the completion of the period of the Environment Protection Permit, application concerned has to be filled and submitted to the Pradeshiya Sabha

Charging fees

Inspection fee according to the initial investment of the applicant mentioned in the application will be charged.

• When the industry has not been started measures have to be taken to obtain the environment recommendation for a period of one year

•  For a period of 03 years Environment Protection Permit fee is Rs.4000.00 (Tax will be added)

• Environment Protection Permits have to renewed once three years. Inspection fee will not be charged in renewing and only the permit fee of rs 4000.00 will be charged.
